U-Heights Ronald McDonald Run Volunteers

University Heights Community Relations Committee is responsible for staffing a water handout station for the Ronald McDonald House 10 mile run as part of UH community outreach.  I am looking for volunteers to help staff the station #4 during the race on Sunday May 6 which will be in the University’s Finkbine Parking Lot.  Volunteers will need to be at the station by 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. and should be finished by about 10:50a.m.  It will involve filling cups with water, handing them out to runners as they pass and cleaning up the discarded cups, etc. around the station afterward.

Please let me know if you can volunteer.

Additional Information from Race Organizer, Beth Pfohl:

Thank you to University Heights residents for agreeing to volunteer at Water Station #4 (Finkbine parking lot) on the 10 Mile course of the Ronald McDonald House Race on May 6!!  I’ve attached a timeline so that the volunteers will know when they should arrive at their location as well as when to expect the lead runners and the last runners.  They should expect to be on course for about 2.5 hours at the most.  By the time the volunteers arrive at their location, tables, garbage bags, cups, water, instructions, etc., will have been delivered.  Volunteers will need to start filling water cups about 1/3 full of water.  There will be cleanup of the area of discarded cups, etc. after the last runner has passed.  There is a port-o-potty that will be in the Finkbine parking lot that runners can use during the race.  Volunteers are welcome to utilize the port-o-potty as well.
